Soccer Betting Lines

07/08/2010 - Stoke-on-Trent, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Belgium youth international Florent Cuvelier has joined Stoke City from Portsmouth.

The 17-year-old midfielder was part of the academy set-up at the recently relegated Premier League club but has now joined the Potters on a two-year contract.

Cuvelier was reported to be interesting a host of other top-flight clubs, including Fulham, Tottenham and Manchester City.

"Florent is definitely one for the future and we are delighted that he has chosen to move here," manager Tony Pulis told the club's official website.

"It's a measure of the club's progress and the emphasis we are placing on the development of the youth set-up that we have managed to attract such an outstanding talent to this club when he attracted so much interest.

"He will work with the academy initially because he is a young lad with a lot yet to do, but we are pleased to have him here."
